The Addison Trail boys soccer team won an IHSA Class 3A regional championship on Saturday, Oct. 24, when it beat Glenbard East 3-0 in the title contest at the Glenbard East Regional in Lombard. The Blazers raised their overall season record to 15-5 with the victory and advanced to this week’s West Chicago Sectional. Addison Trail held a 1-0 halftime lead over the Rams in the regional final after junior Filip Makarczuk scored a first-half goal. Junior Alexandro Tinajero and senior Enrique Merino netted Addison Trail’s second-half goals. Merino scored the Blazers’ third goal of the match on a penalty kick.
