Willowbrook alumna receives donation from Fighting Illini football team

In September, Willowbrook alumna Shannon McGrann (class of 2021), who is a teacher at Dr. Preston L. Williams Jr. Elementary School in Urbana School District 116, received a visit from members of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Fighting Illini football team. The football players presented McGrann with a $1,000 check for her classroom, after she was nominated by administrators and staff members at her school. The team also made another $1,000 donation to support the school and its students. During her time at Willowbrook, McGrann was part of the Little Warrior Preschool program, which helped her on her career path to becoming an educator.
